WHAT IS PILATES?
Pilates is a vigorous full body work out that strengthens and stretches simultaneously making it an extremely efficient practice. Core strength is the foundation of Pilates exercises, while the focus is on quality of movement rather than the amount of reps performed or weights lifted. This creates strength without bulk. By working the body evenly, no muscles are ever over or under–trained, which helps correct muscle imbalances and prevents future injuries. Other benefits include improved posture and coordination. Pilates movements are done on different pieces of Pilates equipment, standing, or on the floor to create a long and balanced physique.

WHAT IS DANO:body?
DANO:body is the complete body of work developed by Dano. It contains the original Pilates Method by Joseph Pilates, and also includes Dano’s contributions to the work. An emphasis on muscular sequencing, neuro-muscular re-patterning, a deep knowledge of anatomy and bodily systems, and the breath that unifies movement making DANO:body a continuous, uplifting and challenging workout.

Dano has spent over thirteen years developing his signature approach, which can't be found in any other lineage of Pilates. The approach that Dano uses was born out of a need that his students presented through the years. Professional dancers and those who are on nerve medication due to severe pain are all need of Pilates but require tools from different areas of his wide and detailed repetoire. Dano has drawn inspiration from many Masters of Psychology, bodywork, sports, movement and the martial arts.
